Hazrat Ibraheem (AS) told the people that this was a symbolic House of ALLAH Almighty. ALLAH Almighty does not live there; He is in all places. People didn’t understand this logic and after the death of Hazrat Ibraheem (AS), the people, out of respect, filled the House of ALLAH Almighty with idols again. They thronged to this place yearly and worshipped their so called gods, It was over 4 Thousand years later that the last of the line of prophets Muhammad Ibn-e-Abdullah entered Makkah triumphantly, went inside the Holy Kaaba and, with the help of his cousin and son-in-law Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib destroyed all the idols of Holy Kaaba with their own hands. Historically when Hazrat Ibraheem (AS) was ordered by ALLAH Almighty to build the Holy Kaaba for worship, He uncovered the original foundations of the Holy Kaaba built by Hazrat Adam (AS). Originally it contained only 4 walls without a roof. Centuries later during the period of Khusayi who was the leader of the Tribe of Quraish in Makkah a taller building was completed with a roof and a courtyard wall around it to give it the form of a sanctuary and doors all around the sanctuary walls. People entered through these doors to come to the Holy Kaaba for worship (ibadah). It is now about 60 feet in height, 60 feet wide from east to west and 60 feet from north to south. A Black stone (Hajar-e-Aswad) was fixed into its eastern corner. In front of the building was Maqam-e-Ibrahim (station of Ibraheem) and the Zamzam Well. Outside are the Hills called Safa and Marwa and the distance between the hills is about 500 yards. These days both of the hills are covered into the sanctuary walls with a roof over it. The entire building is built of the layers of grey blue stone from the hills surrounding Makkah. The 4 corners roughly face the 4 points of the compass. At the East is the Hajr-e-Aswad (The Black stone), at the North is the Rukn-e-Iraqi, at the west Rukn-e-Shami and at the south Rukn-e-Yamani. The 4 walls of Holy Kaaba are covered with a curtain (Kiswa). The kiswa is generally of black brocade with the Shahadat outlined in the weave of the fabric. About 2/3rd of the way up runs a gold embroidered band enclosed with Quranic text. Verse 2:125-129 of Holy Quran; And [mention] when We made the House a place of return for the people and [a place of] security. And take, [O believers], from the standing place of Abraham a place of prayer. And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, [saying], "Purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who are staying [there] for worship and those who bow and prostrate [in prayer]." And [mention] when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits - whoever of them believes in ALLAH and the Last Day." [ALLAH] said. "And whoever disbelieves - I will grant him enjoyment for a little; then I will force him to the punishment of the Fire, and wretched is the destination." And [mention] when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House and [with him] Ishmael, [saying], "Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing. Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. Our Lord, and send among them a messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and purify them. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise." kaabahtours.co.uk is one of the authorized Hajj and Umrah travel agent based in UK offers a range of Best Hajj 2016 Packages from UK.
